Staying on top of your fitness game is easy with the Amilla Maldives fitness retreat. Join a yoga or pilates session, book a personal trainer, or try one-on-one tennis coaching with our resident Pro. Check out three types of gyms - our contemporary fitness centre, private gym pods, and fun outdoor Jungle Gymnasium. And if alfresco exercise is your thing, you’ll love our running/cycling track in the shade of the jungle.

There are team sports a-plenty, with beach volleyball, badminton, and football. We also regularly spice things up with visiting practitioners.

Cardio Studio

Discover our cool, air-conditioned cardio studio, kitted out with the latest treadmills, spin bikes, stationary bikes, ellipticals, a climber and a rowing machine. Natural light floods in due to the floor-to-ceiling windows which provide captivating views of the beach and ocean. Just outside the Cardio Studio is an al fresco boxing fitness area. 

Strength Studio

The air-conditioned Strength Studio is where you can train for strength and functional fitness. This dedicated strength gym is where you will find heavier weights, a Smith machine, free weights and a large area for weightlifting and toning workouts, as well as functional fitness equipment. 

Jungle Gym

Our Jungle Gymnasium features fun, island-made, 'Flintstonian' fitness equipment including barbells, a coconut weight machine, a scramble net and monkey bars. This jungle playground lets you channel your inner kid (no matter your age). Swap your regular indoor workout for birdsong and fresh air. Embrace nature and free your soul whilst toning your body. Set under a majestic Banyan tree, this zero-carbon gym features functional fitness stations built using natural materials.

Yoga Work-In

Island Circuit Running Track

We’re one of the only resorts in the Maldives to have a round-island running track. Due to the sheer amount of space we have at Amilla Maldives, you can enjoy running a 3.1km circuit of our island. The track winds its way around the island under the shade of the jungle canopy, passing by ‘secret beaches’ with flashes of dreamy turquoise waters beyond. It’s also a fun track for cycling with one of our complimentary beach cruisers.

DIVING IN MALDIVES

Nowhere on earth is the sea as captivating as it is here, lapping at the shores of Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences. The breathtaking waters of the Indian Ocean surrounding this pristine island offer endless opportunities to discover and explore a magnificent underwater world that lies beneath the glittering surface. This environment is so rich in marine life that the area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011, largely due to the population of majestic Manta Rays that visit Hanifaru during the southwest monsoon (usually between June and October).

FOOTBALL AT AMILLA

Palms huddle like spectators on the sidelines, their flitting fronds whispering in anticipation as the Amilla Fushi Islanders prepare to square off against a team of guests at a game of Football in Maldives. Amilla Fushi’s football pitch regularly plays host to planned matches and spontaneous showdowns, alike. It’s beautifully maintained and floodlit, with games possible day or night. Guests can play pick-up matches with friends or take on the Islanders during regularly scheduled events. Modified children’s competitions are also hosted from time to time.
