THE SULTAN'S VILLAGE KIDS' CLUB

OUR STORY

THE SULTAN'S VILLAGE KIDS' CLUB

Once upon a time, there was a Sultan and Sultana who ruled the Maldives together. One day, legend has it, they were sailing through the islets of the Baa Atoll when their dhoni became shipwrecked on the corals of a big, beautiful island. The Sultan and Sultana were wise – they explored the island and decided it would make a wonderful home. Using wood from their boat they built a palace, and they made friends with the creatures who lived in the surrounding seas. They spent hundreds of years on that island – and in fact, still live there with all their colourful marine friends. That island is Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences – which is Dhivehi for ‘my island’.

Our Sultan’s Village Kids Club will be delighted to welcome our little guests, with many of the team fully certified through Worldwide Kids.

Sultan’s Kids’ Club is excited to see your kids soon. Don’t forget to ask about current activities available at the club when you book your trip. Learn more about our family-friendly Maldives resort today.

Mini Marine Bio Programme

Mini Marine Bio Programme

The Maldives’ smallest visitors can now learn about the country’s incredible marine life, with the Amilla Maldives Resort’s new Mini Marine Biologists Programme. The fun interactive course teaches kids about the amazing marine ecosystem and wildlife in the Maldives, from turtles and sharks to seabirds.

Each interactive course consists of short videos, talks, Q&As, and even a visit to Amilla’s coral nursery en route to a snorkelling session (as part of its commitment to sustainability, Amilla is working on growing coral to help regenerate the reef). Combined with worksheets, games, and drawing, a new world of marine biology is opened up to the children.

The course takes place over the course of 1 week with 1 hour per class

- Facts about seas and oceans

- The plankton and its importance

- All about coral reefs

- Parrotfish: how to keep a balanced and healthy ecosystem

- Jellyfish: ancient creatures with a lot to offer

- Sea turtle discovery

- The amazing world of sharks

Safety Turtles

Safety Turtles

For an extra measure of protection, our Sultan's village team has procured a number of “Safety Turtle” devices that trigger an alarm at a base station (up to 200 feet away) if it gets wet.

We put it on our little VIP's wrist to be alerted immediately if they get into the pool or ocean.

The devices are available for use on request and subject to availability.
