The Seaplane Arrival

After travelling to Velana International Airport, a shared 35-minute seaplane flight awaits. Maldives seaplane flights are operated by Manta Air and arranged by our reservations team (call +960 6606444 or email stay@amilla.com to enquire or book).

  • All international arrivals will receive a welcome at the Amilla lounge at the seaplane terminal.
  • Upgrade to CIP black car service from the stairs of the plane before meeting the Amilla team for your seaplane journey.
  • Shared seaplane transfers are US$800 round trip per adult and US$400 round trip per child at booking (excludes taxes & service fee). Private seaplane charters are also available on request.
  • Seaplanes only operate during daylight hours, but there are domestic flight alternatives.

The dock at which the Maldives Speedboat Transfer from the domestic flights will arrive at Amilla.

Domestic Flight plus Speedboat

Travellers can take a domestic flight from Malé (Velana International Airport) to Dharavandhoo Airport, followed by a 10-minute speedboat ride to Amilla. This option is recommended for guests departing on late international flights or anyone who is not comfortable on a small aircraft.

  • How long is the journey from Malé to Amilla Maldives?

    From the nearest airport, Velana International Airport, you can get to Amilla Maldives by either a 35-minute seaplane flight (arranged by our reservations team according to your scheduled arrival or departure) or if arriving at Velana International Airport after 15.00 hours alternatively by a 20-minute domestic flight plus a 10-minute Maldives boat transfer (also arranged by an Amilla reservationist).

All travellers receive a free 30-day visa on arrival providing their passport is valid for at least six more months. Each guest will also need a valid return air ticket.
